Logan was ready to end his life. Then he stopped.

He remembers hearing three words: "Stop, just wait."

He understood that voice as God reaching him.

Before that moment, he had spent years chasing success. Investments collapsed. The savings he and his wife had kept began to disappear.

He threw himself into learning to trade, trying to recover what he had lost. From outside, his life could still look successful. Inside, he was running out of hope.

He had begun going to church again with his niece, to a non-denominational congregation. He would sit and weep.

His return to Catholic practice was still ahead of him. Faith had begun to enter his life again, while the despair was still there.

Then came the crisis. He remembers being overwhelmed by shame and uncertainty. He says those three words broke through.

He stopped. In that moment, he knew he was not alone.

The problems remained. There was no sudden financial rescue. But he had survived, and there was a next step he could take.

He went home and opened his heart to his wife. She helped him find a practical way forward: moving to Oklahoma to work on a ranch.

The days were hard. In the fields, he began talking to God, bringing Him his questions. He describes hope returning gradually. Hardship continued.

Another part of his story is a group of men who were willing to be honest. As they shared their own struggles, Logan began to speak about his.

He found people who cared about what was happening inside him. His pain no longer had to remain hidden.

This is how Logan remembers mercy: God meeting him in despair, and people helping him go on.
